A meditation ritual

A gentle breathwork ritual to calm the mind and connect to the body

Begin by finding a space that feels safe, uncluttered, and calm. Light a candle. Open a window. Let the outside world soften around you.

Sit or lie down in a position that feels supportive. There is no need to force stillness. Only to welcome it.

Close your eyes.

Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly. Feel your breath move through you like a wave. Effortless. Rhythmic. Alive.

Inhale slowly through the nose, allowing the air to fill your belly first, then your ribs, and finally your chest. Hold it gently for a moment at the top.

Exhale just as slowly through the mouth. Release everything you no longer need. Let your shoulders drop. Let your jaw soften. Let your body remember what it feels like to feel safe.

Repeat this breath cycle for several rounds.

Now begin to observe your thoughts with curiosity, not judgment. Imagine them as clouds moving across a wide sky. You do not need to hold onto them. Let them float. Let them shift. Let them pass.

If your mind wanders, gently return to your breath. Inhale. Exhale. Begin again.

You can remain in this breathwork practice for five minutes or longer. Trust the length your body asks for today. When you feel complete, bring a gentle smile to your face. Notice how the world feels different. Lighter. Quieter. More spacious.

When you open your eyes, carry that stillness with you into your morning, your choices, and your day.

This is your breathwork ritual.

This is your return to self.
